I gotta tell ya, being a portraitist is a pretty big deal for us photographers. It’s like the ultimate badge of honor because it means we’ve got the skills and the eye to capture people’s personalities and make them look amazing in photos.
And let’s be real, isn’t that what we all want? A portrait that really captures who we are and makes us look like a million bucks?
I’m beyond stoked to share some exciting news with you all. I’m now a Portraitist! Yep, that’s right, I’ve been awarded the Portraitist status by the Headshot Crew, an international community of photographers. I couldn’t be happier or prouder. I’ve worked hard to develop my skills and hone my craft. Whether working with a corporate client, an actor, or a business owner, my goal is always the same: to create a portrait that captures a great expression and makes them shine.

For those of you who may not be familiar with the process, becoming a Portraitist involves presenting two portfolios: a Technical Portfolio and a Creative Portfolio.
The Technical Portfolio is where I got to show off my technical abilities as a photographer. It includes examples from 10 different categories, ranging from lighting and lens use to color play. The goal is to showcase my technical mastery to an audience of photographers while also creating a portfolio of compelling images that can capture the attention of a general audience.
On the other hand, the Creative Portfolio is where I really got to let my creativity fly. There are no rules here, just the ten best examples of my portrait work. The key is to create a cohesive body of work that showcases my unique vision and style as a photographer.
I had an absolute blast putting these portfolios together, and I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to share my work with such an esteemed group of photographers. And, of course, I’m thrilled to have been awarded the Portraitist status as a result.
So if you’re looking for a photographer who not only has the technical skills but also a creative eye and unique style, look no further. Let’s chat and create something amazing together!
Cheers,
