What to Wear for Your Medical Residency Headshot

Do:

  • Professional attire: think job interview, not clinical rotation
  • Solid colors: navy, charcoal, black, or soft neutrals
  • Button-down shirts, blouses, blazers
  • Something you'd wear to meet your future program director

Don't:

  • White coat (save it for after you match)
  • Scrubs
  • Busy patterns or logos
  • Anything too casual

Not sure what works? Bring a few options and we'll decide together.

What to Expect at Your ERAS Photo Session

Your session takes about 30 to 60 minutes. Here's how it works:

  1. We'll review your wardrobe options and pick what photographs best
  2. I'll guide you through posing so you don't need to know what to do
  3. We'll check images as we go so you see what's working
  4. You'll leave confident that we got the shot

No awkward silence. No stiff poses. Just a relaxed session that gets you a photo you're proud to submit.
